Fiona O’Reilly initiated her career in teaching and accumulated a number of years experience in various countries abroad, from there she moved into the business world. On returning to Ireland, Fiona completed an honours B.A. in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.
Her background and approach is primarily humanistic with her core training providing her with an eclectic style to working with the therapeutic process. In essence, this means that she draws from a number of different approaches including, cognitive, person centred, psychodynamic and psychoanalytical as appropriate to the needs of the individual client.
During Fiona’s training and post graduation she has worked with addiction.
Post graduation studies include certificate in Jungian Perspectives in Psychotherapy, Certificate in Bereavement studies, certificate with the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, and Diploma in Cross Professional Supervision.
Fiona works with an external counselling service on a part-time basis along with running her own private practice at Drogheda Medical Clinic
